Bernard King is a labour relations specialist with more than 15 years’ experience in industrial relations, conflict resolution and workplace mediation. His areas of expertise include facilitative leadership, organizational training, performance management, employee engagement, workplace accommodation and disability management. His passion is supporting the collaboration between employee and management teams in the complex task of cultivating an inclusive, productive and responsive workplace culture. As a staff representative/negotiator with a major public sector union in Ontario, he supports, mentors and trains union leaders in labour relations, with a focus on collective bargaining, contract interpretation and enforcement, grievance and discipline processes, investigation procedures and disability and absence management. He is a sought-after trainer, facilitator, and public speaker on labour relations, organized labour as a value proposition, and complex accommodation (including for mental health issues) as navigable terrain.
