In a world of life-long education, the demand for trainers who understand the needs of adult learners has grown rapidly. Schulich ExecEd’s Masters Certificate in Adult Training and Development is the premier program for those who want to develop their skills in adult education – and the latest participants in this successful program were eager to comment on their experience.
“The program was so well designed – certainly the most effective of the modules I’ve taken to date and my favorite so far,” said one participant. “We had an opportunity to apply every concept we learned, and the resources provided were easy to follow.
“I had an opportunity to challenge myself to do something that is not my strength [and] received a lot of encouragement and insightful feedback from instructors and group,” said another.

Still others commented on the level of engagement and energy in the room and the facilitators who were training the facilitators.
“Opportunities to practice facilitation” and “facilitators” said one class member when asked what her favourite elements of the program were. Another added, “lots of chances for activities and discussion. Great supporting materials. Good pace and dialogue.”
One participant noted the program “went by fast, which means that it was engaging, relevant and well taught. Nice group of diverse professionals helped in my learning through experience.”
One member of the group was very succinct about what he like about the program: “everything – top to bottom! Flow, content, engagement.”
The Masters Certificate in Adult Training and Development is recognized as the leading program in the adult education field and often seen as a requirement for candidates entering the field. The recently revised program now includes extra modules in designing and facilitating online programs and the special challenges those present to the learners.
The program includes 14 days in class, spread over three months, followed by a practicum project and report designed to demonstrate your grasp of the training.
