Schulich ExecEd, MineAfrica launch new academy for global mining industry

MineAfrica Inc. and the Schulich ExecEd (Schulich ExecEd), Schulich School of Business at York University, are delighted to announce an innovative partnership to deliver co-branded educational and training programs for the international natural resources sector.

Courses will initially be offered online with plans to move towards a combination of more traditional classroom setting, as well as at client site, as the COVID-19 situation gradually resolves.

The global natural resources industry stands to benefit significantly from this partnership, combining Schulich ExecEd’s global reputation and expertise in delivering professional, executive learning, front-line training, and MineAfrica’s 20-year track record in global seminars and MASTERMINING training programs.

Two types of co-branded programs will be offered: 1) custom programs for specific clients, and 2) open online programs for individuals wishing to further their careers in the industry.

Content will focus on two areas:

• The Data Driven Mine: Data Analytics in the Mining Industry

Courses will be offered in English and client specific training and programs can also be offered in French. Programs and training may count towards continuing education credits for professional designations for investment advisers, accountants, lawyers and engineers, etc.

In addition to jointly produced programs MineAfrica will market the full range of Schulich ExecEd’s custom and public mining programs.
