Start building your organization’s Lean Six Sigma culture today

If you’ve heard the buzz in your organization about “Lean Six Sigma” and wondered what’s going on, this program is for you.

As companies look for ways to improve products, services and the customer experience, more and more are adopting the Lean Six Sigma methodology, which is synonymous with service and manufacturing excellence. In fact, more than 50 per cent of Fortune 100 companies use Lean Six Sigma to lead improvement projects.

As Lean Six Sigma programs roll out, many people need to be familiarized with the basics, even if they are not directly responsible for the implementation. Lean Six Sigma methodology involves creating an organizational culture of searching for ways to improve processes, reduce waste and respond to the voice of the customer. Everyone is involved.

The Lean Six Sigma White Belt program is designed to give those without prior knowledge of the methodologies a brief overview of Six Sigma and Lean principles, including exactly what it is and why it is being used in businesses around the world to streamline operations and eliminate waste.

  • Introduction to Lean Six Sigma
  • LSS language and terminology
  • Culture of Lean and Six Sigma
  • Voice of the customer
  • Value-add and non-value-add activities
  • 8 wastes in a process intro
  • Process mapping intro

Learning the basics of Lean Six Sigma can help you adapt to change within your organization and make meaningful contributions to a successful implementation.

The Schulich ExecEd’s Lean Six Sigma White Belt training program is the first step in a program of learning that can take you from learning the basics to mastering the method and achieving Black Belt status. Schulich ExecEd’s White Belt module is an online course, available any time, that you can complete at your own pace.

If you plan to go on and pursue Yellow Belt (starting April 23), Green Belt (starting May 6) or Black Belt (starting Dec. 2) training, the White Belt program is a pre-requisite, but it is also useful as a standalone introduction to working within the Lean Six Sigma environment.
