Diana Elder

Diana’s passion lies in cultivating vibrant organizational cultures where all team members are empowered to contribute their best. As the University Health Network’s Vice President, People and Culture, Diana is responsible for all aspects of strategic human resource management, organizational development, labour relations and culture.
Diana has been an HR professional for over two decades, holding various leadership roles both within and outside of UHN. During her career, Diana has successfully implemented people strategies championing employee engagement and wellness, which resulted in her previous employers winning such coveted employer awards as The Top 100 Employers to Work For in Canada.
Diana holds a BA in Sociology from York University, a Masters in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University, and an MBA from Royal Roads University.
In addition to her role at UHN, Diana is dedicated to the dual missions of continuing education and supporting community healthcare organizations. As an adult educator, Diana has conducted programs in Labour Relations at Seneca College and Leadership at York University’s Schulich School of Business. Her volunteer activities have included membership on the boards of Queen West Community Centre, Fife House, and most recently as board secretary for Unison Community Health Care.
Diana lives in downtown Toronto with her family. She enjoys reading, gardening, skiing and golfing (not very well).
