Jerome Dwight, named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 is, an international executive with a record of providing strategic and operational leadership to organizations in technology, banking, media, e-commerce and professional services. He has deep experience building scale and shareholder value globally with a record of successful business launches, acquisitions and transformations across Canada, USA, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America.

His recent experience includes serving as Canadian executive & vice-president at Cox Automotive Canada where he leads more than 600 personnel providing financial services, technology, logistics and data solutions in the automotive segment. At Cox, Dwight launched NextGear Capital, a private fintech bank, and within 24 months grew it to become the largest non-bank lender in automotive. Dwight also launched MUVITCanada.ca and grew it to become Canada’s largest online vehicle auction marketplace for dealers to stock vehicles.

Prior to joining Cox Automotive, Dwight served as managing director and global market head at RBC Wealth Management where he led its international expansion by building award-winning businesses across Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean Canada and USA.

Dwight has also served as CEO of Bank of New York Mellon’s Canadian operations where he led its acquisition of CIBC Mellon’s trust unit. Additionally, he served as CFO at Canadian private equity firm Bayshore Capital where he led the launch of iMoney.ca Canada’s first fintech marketplace later sold to Quebecor, Canada’s leading publishing conglomerate.
Dwight received an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business and holds a CFA and Chartered Accountant (Canada) designation. In 2020, Dwight was recognized by the Canadian Lenders Association as one of top 25 Lending Executives in Canada.
