    Markus Giesler is a consumer researcher and Professor of Marketing at the Schulich School of Business (York University, land acknowledgement). His research examines how markets dynamically shape human behaviour, often in the context of new technologies.

    His work has been published in top-tier academic journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Marketing and received extensive coverage in media outlets such as The New York Times, Wired, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Time Magazine.

    He is also an Editor at the Journal of Consumer Research (2021-2024), ERB member at the Journal of Consumer Psychology, Consumption, Markets and Culture, and Marketing Letters, and previously Associate Editor at the Journal of Marketing and Area Editor at the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science.

    Giesler has been named an MSI Scholar by the Marketing Science Institute, “one of the best recognized experts studying high-technology consumer behavior” by Wired, and a "40 under 40" professor by Poets & Quants.

    At Schulich, he teaches marketing topics including a popular MBA program called Customer Experience Design. He works with companies on practical research and engages in executive training and advisory. He has been a visiting scholar at the Kellogg School and at Stockholm University.

    Marr Morgan has been a Production Accountant in the Television & Film Industry for over 40 years. She is experienced with a wide range of Productions, including small independents, multi-million-dollar blockbuster features, and both Domestic and International/Co-Produced television series. She has worked both internationally and across Canada. Marr has been an active member of the Directors Guild of Canada since the Accountants joined the Guild. She was elected to serve on the DGC Executive Board as the Accounting Caucus Representative for both the National and the Ontario District Council Executive Board and served 3 terms (6 years) on each Board. Marr has been an integral part of the training of Accounting within the DGC. She has helped to develop many courses, including a 10-day course for DGC Quebec in collaboration with Netflix and L’Inis (a professional training institute for workers in the film, tv and interactive media industry). Marr is very passionate about the future of the industry and the role that Production Accounting has within it. She has been very active in recruiting new members into the DGC and taught an Introductory Accounting Fundamentals Course (specifically for Film & Television) for many years. She believes very strongly in “on the job training” and has acted as a Mentor to many DGC members, including those wanting to move up into the role of Accountant.

For the past 15 years, Martin has worked for Cisco Systems in a sales management role.     Dr. Martine Durier-Copp is a highly experienced educator, facilitator, researcher, and curriculum design specialist in public policy and management, with a strong focus on Public Sector Leadership. She has managed and taught in the Dalhousie University Master of Public Administration (Management) program for over fifteen years. The MPAM is a specially designed graduate program for mid-career public officials, offered in a blended model (online and in person), and is delivered in close consultation with all four levels of government. As such, she has strong insight into the specific needs and requirements of adult learners in the public sector. Martine teaches the capstone Public Sector Leadership and Ethics course in the MPAM. She initiated and designed the online Dalhousie Certificate in Public Policy and Management, which has attracted over 500 working professionals from all 13 jurisdictions in only three years. A published and award-winning researcher-author, she has presented her work on public sector leadership and virtual leadership at international conferences, government sessions, and workshops. Additionally, she is co-founder and Director of the CELNeT Lab, with Dr. Binod Sundararajan—a next-wave research hub and network specializing in e-leadership, hybrid work, and digital transformation. Having partnered with the Federal Government on a major partnership research project, supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, they designed an innovative framework on e-Leadership [Connect Framework]. Training and development sessions have been successfully delivered to many federal, provincial, and municipal clients. Martine holds a PhD in political theory from McGill University, as well as certifications in leadership programs (Harvard Executive Education, McGill University, and IBM Leadership Centre). She has led several international projects focused on public sector leadership and capacity development in South America, the Caribbean, as well as in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and FSU countries.

Her work experience in the petroleum, aviation and software industries, which often involved collaborating in teams under crisis situations, helped motivate her 20-year research program in crisis team dynamics. Dr. Waller sits on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Management as well as on the editorial boards of several academic journals, and is a recipient of the MBA Teaching Excellence Award at Schulich.     Matthias teaches in the BBA and MBA Programs at Schulich as well as in the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA Program. He also teaches a program on cross-cultural management in the international week of the Kellogg-WHU EMBA in Germany, which is attended by students from all Kellogg partner schools. Since joining Schulich two years ago, Matthias has already been nominated twice for the Seymour Schulich Excellence in Teaching Award. Matthias has extensive international experience, having previously worked in the United Kingdom and Spain and holding degrees from Germany, France and the United States. He speaks four languages fluently (English, Spanish, French, and German) and also has a passive knowledge of Italian and Russian. Matthias has been invited as a Visiting Professor at several prestigious universities around the world, including Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, the Institute of Innovation Research at Hitotsubashi University and Meiji University, both in Tokyo, Japan and the University of Toulouse in France. On many occasions, he has taught or given seminars to executives during his time there. Before becoming an academic, Matthias has worked in the Paris and London offices of Braxton Associates, the strategy consulting division of Deloitte. During his previous academic appointments, he has developed and taught internal training programs for a number of European enterprises, including a large electrical engineering firm in Germany and a French pharmaceuticals and personal care products company.
