Bob Bell

Dr. Bob Bell, MDCM, MSc, FRCSC, FACS, FRCSE (hon). Robert Bell served as Ontario’s Deputy Minister of Health from 2014 to 2018. Prior to this role, he worked as President and Chief Executive Officer of University Health Network (UHN) for nine years. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer at Princess Margaret Hospital, the Chair of Cancer Care Ontario’s Clinical Council and the Cancer Quality Council of Ontario. Dr. Bell received his Doctor of Medicine from McGill University, a Master of Science from the University of Toronto and achieved his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1983. He completed training in Orthopaedic Cancer Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University in 1985 and in the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2005. Dr. Bell is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American College of Surgeons and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. As an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon, health system executive, clinician-scientist, and educator, Dr. Bell has more than 45 years of healthcare experience. Today, he provides advice to a number of private and public organizations and has published three novels, with all proceeds from these books benefiting UHN foundations.

Brett brings more than 17 years of experience to the concepts of thinking and organizational intelligence within a business context. He has also served as a Master Trainer and Coach with the EQ-i® (emotional quotient inventory) and is the developer of Emotional Power®, a practical business-based model used to apply the concepts of emotional intelligence in the workplace. Brett is a senior facilitator for the Schulich School of Business at York University and holds a doctorate in Human Organizational Systems.

Bruce Garrod is a PMP with over 25 years experience delivering project and programs. For over 15 years, Bruce has designed, built and delivered project management courses throughout North America as well as in the UK, Caribbean and Asia. At Schulich ExecEd, Bruce is a 3-time award-winning facilitator delivering the Project Cost Management course as part of the Master's Certificate in Project Management program. Bruce is in his second term as an elected official in the Township of Uxbridge, Ontario and the Regional Municipality of Durham. If free time can be created, Bruce will be found camping, motorcycling or enjoying a craft beer with family.

Catherine Dine is an award-winning researcher and strategist with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing), Bachelor of Arts (English), a CMRP (Certified Market Research Professional) and Moderator Training from the Riva Training Institute in Maryland. Catherine’s research expertise has developed over more than 20 years in the industry including progressively senior corporate and research agency roles. Catherine works with select clients in a highly collaborative, integrated and impactful fashion. Categories range from financial services and capital markets, through entertainment and technology, to consumer-packaged goods and pharmaceuticals. Catherine is a co-chair of the Canadian Chapter of QRCA (Qualitative Research Consultants Association), a conference speaker and regular attendee at a range of industry events worldwide, and a life-long learner in the fields of psychology, anthropology, behavioural science, mental health, creativity and client experience through study and application. Catherine is an instructor for the Design Thinking program at the Schulich ExecEd of York University – teaching about the Empathy and Discovery phases of the Design Thinking approach to Innovation.

Charles Cho is a professor of accounting and Erivan K. Haub Chair in Business & Sustainability at the Schulich School of Business, York University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Accounting, and a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting Track) from the University of Central Florida. He also worked for KPMG LLP and other public accounting firms for several years in auditing and taxation. His research interests include social and environmental accounting; corporate social responsibility (CSR); and accounting and the public Interest. Charles currently serves as director of the Centre of Excellence in Responsible Business (COERB) at the Schulich School of Business.

Dr. Charles Igwe is a seasoned program management leader with over 15 years of experience delivering high-stakes projects in the energy, construction, and public sectors. As Program Manager at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, he leads transformative hydrogen and tritium initiatives aligned with Canada’s clean energy goals. Previously, as Section Head of Decommissioning Planning, he managed regulatory strategies and stakeholder engagement across national nuclear sites. A faculty member at Algonquin, Conestoga, and St. Lawrence Colleges, Dr. Igwe teaches project management with a focus on practical application, drawing on his extensive industry experience. He holds a PhD in Construction Project Management, an Executive MBA, and certifications including PMP®, PMI-RMP®, PMI-ACP®, MSP® Practitioner, PRINCE2®, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. As Vice President of Professional Development at the PMI Ottawa Valley Chapter, he champions mentoring and professional growth. Since her career in Adult Education began in 2011, she’s reached thousands of employees in new leadership positions through programs she has designed for some of North America’s top tech and telecom companies. Chloé has shared ideas and facilitated stimulating conversations with groups from retail, local government, long-term care and more, spanning topics from leadership fundamentals, emotional awareness, negotiation and photography. One of the highlights of her career so far is having the privilege of working closely with Michael Bungay Stanier, author of The Coaching Habit, a Wall Street Journal best-selling book on coaching. Currently studying Adult Learning at George Brown College, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University. Chris Bosch
Chris Bosch, MA, MWS, CFRE, has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and has spent most of his career learning, teaching, and facilitating in the areas of strategy development, conflict resolution, leadership development, and problem-solving using design thinking principles. He has been a senior leader with World Vision Canada, taught at four different universities, started a nonprofit organization called Flourish Financial to support the capital needs of small and growing businesses in poorer contexts and led many planning sessions with organizations like the Humanitarian Coalition, Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Feed the Children, Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies, Toronto District School Board and many other social service organizations. Chris has certifications as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), Professional Director (board governance), Balanced Scorecard specialist (strategic planning methodology), and graduate degrees in International Development and Political Theory. He lives in Oakville with his wife, Lydia, who is a teacher, and they are parents to two adult children, Josiah and Levi.

She currently works as Production Finance Manager for Netflix and is instrumental in creating, implementing, and overseeing all production finance matters for Canada-based productions. Kitty holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Managements & Human Resources from Saint Mary’s University. She is an active member of the Directors’ Guild of Canada (DGC) Ontario Caucus and has been enthusiastically involved in designing and teaching training courses for new DGC accounting members.

Claudia Mueller
Ms. Mueller is a talent strategist who helps leaders, organizations, and students prepare for the mining industry of the future. She has spent the last ten years researching the talent, skill and organizational challenges in the metals and minerals industry and regularly shares her insights as a speaker, panellist, facilitator, and instructor. Ms. Mueller serves as Program Director of the Global Metals and Minerals Management MBA program at the Schulich School of Business and for the Mining Academy at Schulich ExecEd, both housed at York University. In these capacities, Ms. Mueller is integrally involved in the development, management, and delivery of academic courses as well as open and custom programs for clients in the metals and minerals sector. Her vision is to create personalized, exciting learning journeys for leaders by offering diverse education opportunities. Ms. Mueller holds a Business Law degree (Germany) and a Master of International Business (Australia) and is a PhD Student at the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining at Queen’s University (Canada).
