Charles Fortier

Charles Fortier is a senior leader, leadership educator, and co-founder of LeedHR, a Canadian leadership development firm focused on emotional intelligence. With more than two decades of experience leading teams across complex, people-driven organizations, Charles brings a practitioner’s perspective to the development of emotionally intelligent, high-performing leaders. Throughout his career in the Human Capital industry, Charles has held senior leadership roles in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments, where he led large, multidisciplinary teams and navigated organizational growth, transformation, and change.

His leadership philosophy is grounded in real-world experience and a deep belief that emotional intelligence is a critical enabler of trust, engagement, and sustainable performance. Over the course of his work at LeedHR, Charles has worked with senior leaders across a wide range of industries, including Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Construction, Technology, Supply Chain, Energy, and Automotive. In 2025, LeedHR was recognized with two national distinctions: Best Service Provider of the Year at the Canadian HR Awards and the HRD Service Provider Award, underscoring the firm’s leadership in the field of leadership development.

Charles holds a B.A.A. in Marketing from the Université de Sherbrooke and completed the Leadership Management program at IMD Business School in Switzerland. He is a certified EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 practitioner, as well as a Certified Master Trainer. Originally from Sherbrooke, Quebec, he has lived in Toronto since 2006 and is fluent in both French and English. On a personal level, Charles is an advocate for sustainable health and mental health for men, believing that effective leadership begins with self-awareness, balance, and resilience.
