Sherry-Ann Ram

Sherry-Ann Ram is a parent, sustainability champion, engineer, and educator, holding degrees in Mechanical Engineering (BSc), Petroleum Engineering (MSc), and Civil Engineering (PhD), along with collaborative specializations in engineering education and environmental studies. Sherry-Ann worked in the fossil fuel industry for over 13 years, engaging with diverse cultures across countries on every continent except Antarctica. After acknowledging the issues plaguing the world today, Sherry-Ann transitioned to gaining a deeper understanding of sustainability, with the intent to apply it both personally and professionally. This shift toward sustainability was reinforced by the birth of Sherry-Ann’s children, an aspiration to uphold the oath of engineers in Ontario to protect people and society, and a desire for continuous stewardship, lifelong learning, reflection, and development.
