Analytics program for senior leaders goes virtual – and national

The Schulich ExecEd’s Masters Certificate in Analytics has undergone some exciting changes recently as we welcome our University Executive Education Network partners from across the country to the new virtual classroom version of the program.

In this audio interview, Schulich ExecEd Program Director Murat Kristal, who is also a professor in the Schulich School of Business, talks about changes to the program, including making it available across Canada to participants in British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

Kristal also explains how the format has changed to better fit a busy executive’s schedule and make it possible for participants in several times zones to join in the discussion. Data Analytics has become a core competency for senior business leaders looking to not only bring new products and services to market but to stay competitive in a rapidly changing business environment.

He discusses the purpose of the program and how it enables senior leaders to gain new insights into their operation and direct the efforts of data scientists and staff to act on what the data is saying about what they should – and should not be – doing from many different perspectives.
