Claire has more than 17 years of experience as a consultant, team leader, and learning specialist. Claire’s ongoing commitment to human potential development and keen insight into successful human behaviour are evident in all of her learning sessions, keynotes and one-to-one coaching sessions. She has extensive experience delivering workshops and seminars to businesses and public sector clients across Canada. Some of the clients that she has worked with include: Bell Canada, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Desjardins Group, Nexient Learning, Pearson Publishing, Statistics Canada, Post Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Intellectual Property Office, Minto Corporation, and CIBC.

Healthcare

Claire Mallette is the director of the School of Nursing at York University. Prior to coming to York she had a diverse career in academia, administration, research and clinical practice, and held roles as a faculty member, chief nursing officer and most recently, director of nursing education, placement and development at University Health Network in Toronto.

Claude is Director, Regulatory Affairs, at McKesson Canada and has 25 years of experience in distribution. He holds a degree in Business Administration and iis involved in a number of Canadian and international committees pertaining to regulatory affairs and GDPs. Prior to joining McKesson, Claude spent a number of years managing distribution centers for Bayer in Montréal and Johnson and Johnson in Markham, Ontario.

Prior to his time with the Schulich School of Business, Claude Legrand was considered was one of Canada's foremost consultants in the areas of direct and interactive marketing for clients such as Bell, Air Canada, General Motors, CIBC and Glaxo. It is with this successful mentality that Claude approaches all of his programs taught at Schulich ExecEd. Having amassed extensive experience in innovation, strategic planning, marketing, interactive technologies and culture change directly designed for large organizations, Claude is an ideal fit for bringing innovative topics to participants willing to listen, adapt, and adopt. Born in France and educated at the Paris Business School (MBA program), Claude has been a Canadian citizen for over 22 years and currently resides in Toronto.

Ms. Mueller is a talent strategist who helps leaders, organizations, and students prepare for the mining industry of the future. She has spent the last ten years researching the talent, skill and organizational challenges in the metals and minerals industry and regularly shares her insights as a speaker, panellist, facilitator, and instructor. Ms. Mueller serves as Program Director of the Global Metals and Minerals Management MBA program at the Schulich School of Business and for the Mining Academy at Schulich ExecEd, both housed at York University. In these capacities, Ms. Mueller is integrally involved in the development, management, and delivery of academic courses as well as open and custom programs for clients in the metals and minerals sector. Her vision is to create personalized, exciting learning journeys for leaders by offering diverse education opportunities. Ms. Mueller holds a Business Law degree (Germany) and a Master of International Business (Australia) and is a PhD Student at the Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining at Queen’s University (Canada).  She has worked around the globe in areas such as Human Resources, Business Development, Capacity Building, Teaching and Research.

Project Management

Clément Beaumont developed his Project Management and manager competencies serving with the Canadian Forces (CF). While serving at the National Defence Headquarters, he worked as Project coordinator for two major projects. Following that, he was appointed Director of the research program coordinating office and the military personnel at Defence Research & Development of Canada, Valcartier Center. Clément has also more than 20 years in hand as logistician, specializing in supply. He completed his Master in Business of Administration (MBA) and the Master Certificate in Project Management, both at Laval University. He is also a member of the Public Projects Management Community of Practice (GP-Québec) Leading Team. Clément is a member of the team providing the Master Certificate in Project Management at Laval University and for York University.

Clément has more than 20 years experience in project management and complex business analysis. Clément’s expertise includes project planning, process modelling, requirements management, cost control and work flow. He has an engineering background which complements his IT experience, and has won awards for teaching in business analysis.

Cy Charney is one of the Schulich School of Business, York University’s top instructors. As a leading Canadian thought leader in the area of organizational performance, Cy has developed a variety of unique interventions to help organizations in both the private and public sector become leaders in their field. He delivers a practical approach with enthusiasm, energy and a sense of humor. He is also a seasoned trainer who customizes a variety of programs always with the intention of adding value to internal and external customers. He is an acknowledged leader in the area of self-directed learning having created a unique system of team learning called Peer Mentoring™ which is used by organizations around the world. When not at Schulich ExecEd, Cy is hard at work working with a number of clients including multiple Fortune 500 companies and government departments around the world.

Dale Christenson is the founder and president of the Project Management Centre of Excellence Inc. He is a Certified Management Consultant and Project Management Professional specializing in project management consulting and training. He combines an extensive academic background with real-world expertise in the areas of program and portfolio management, organizational development, change management and critical project success factors. He's held project management leadership positions in the public and private sectors. Dale has a doctorate in project management from Royal MIT University in Australia and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees, diplomas and certificates in criminology, counselling psychology and project management. He is the winner of the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Government Project of the Year Award.

Communication, People Leadership

Dalton Kehoe is a highly-awarded leadership instructor and organizational change practitioner with more than four decades of experience. He is Senior Scholar of Communication Studies at York University, teaching interpersonal and organizational communications. Dalton has also written a breakthrough leadership book, titled Mindful Management, which teaches leaders the neuroscience behind empowered team performance. It was listed by Forbes Magazine as one of the top-five business books of 2015. Routinely voted one of the top instructors at York and in our Executive Education program, he was chosen by TVOntario as one of the best lecturers in the province. As a result, the largest producer of adult education in the US invited him to write and produce a DVD series, titled Effective Communications Skills. It was a top release in 2011, receiving positive mentions in The Economist, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and, as of 2016, it has sold more than 155,000 copies. His engaging teaching style makes complex leadership concepts easy to understand.

Dan received his MBA from the Schulich School of Business. He has built brands at leading firms including Procter & Gamble and Molson, and now at IMI provides multinational firms with research and consulting to optimize program impact and ROI of sponsorship marketing.

Municipal Sector

Dan Mathieson previously held the position as the mayor of Stratford, Ontario and has sat on municipal council since 1995. During his tenure Dan has been a member on numerous boards and committees in healthcare, municipal affairs, law enforcement, athletics, not-for-profits, and universities and colleges. He is currently chair of the Ontario Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), chair of the Stratford Police Services Board and serves on the boards of numerous community organizations. Dan is also a governor on the Board of i-Canada and is on the advisory board for Walsh University – Institute for the Study of the Intelligent Community. In November 2015 Dan was awarded the Alumni Award of Excellence from the Master of Public Administration, Local Government program at Western University. He is also the 2016 Western University, Public Administration Distinguished Practitioner in Residence, lecturing on governance and innovation in public institutions.
