Funding Opportunities in Ontario
Skills Advance Ontario (SAO) is a government-funded initiative designed to help Ontario employers and workers navigate the pressures of global trade disruptions and tariff impacts.
Ontario Job Grant (OJG) provides funding to help businesses train their employees and update their skills, helping employers ensure their workforce has the right skills to adapt to a changing economy.

Skills Advance Ontario (SAO): Background
The Governments of Canada and Ontario have jointly invested more than $228 million to help protect Ontario workers and employers from the impacts of tariffs and global economic uncertainty. Employers can now access funding to upskill, reskill, and retain their workforce.
Training must be delivered by an eligible, recognized education or training institution — including publicly funded post-secondary institutions, registered career colleges, district school boards, and Indigenous Institutes.
Ontario Job Grant (OJG): Background
The Ontario Job Grant (OJG) provides funding to help businesses train employees and update their skills, ensuring their workforce can adapt to a changing economy. Employers choose who to train and which skills to focus on based on their needs.
Employers can train existing employees to upgrade skills or new hires with a job offer prior to training. All training must be delivered by an approved third-party training provider.
Skills Advance Ontario (SAO): Requirements
Employers who participate in SAO-funded projects, as a transfer payment recipient or as a partner, must operate in the identified sector or share identified workforce needs in a tariff-impacted or high potential sector.

Participants must be 18+, an Ontario resident, legally entitled to work in Canada, and either on EI, on a Work-Sharing agreement, or employed by a company directly or indirectly affected by tariffs and global market shifts. Applications are open now — no deadline, until funds are allocated.

Ontario Job Grant (OJG): Requirements
The Ontario Job Grant supports eligible training costs up to a maximum of $10,000 per trainee, with additional flexibility for small employers.
Employers with 100+ employees must cover 50% of training costs. Employers with fewer than 100 employees must contribute at least one-sixth of training costs per trainee. However, if training previously unemployed new hires, smaller employers may qualify for up to $15,000 per trainee and potentially receive 100% funding. Trainees cannot be used to replace existing or laid-off staff.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Note: Applications must be received no later than the last day of the study period. Supporting documents and review requests must be received no later than 5 days after the last day of the study period.

Veterans Education and Training Benefit (ETB)
Going back to school after a military career? Get financial assistance from Veterans Affairs Canada, funded by the Government of Canada.
What is it?
The Education and Training Benefit provides up to $92,392.30 (as of 2023) to cover mandatory education costs and some incidental and living expenses for Veterans enrolled in eligible educational programs.
A portion of funding may be used for fees and costs associated with one-time programs aimed at self-fulfillment and personal interest and development.
After you complete your plan and achieve your diploma, degree or certification, you can also apply for the Completion Bonus and receive an additional $1,000.
Eligibility
• You were honourably released from the Canadian Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve Force) on or after April 1, 2006, or are a member of the Supplementary Reserve and;
• You meet the “length of service” requirement:
○ at least 12 years of authorized days of CAF Service (4382 days) to receive up to $92,392.30 (2023) or
○ at least 6 years of authorized days of CAF service (2191 days) to receive up to $46,196.15 (2023).
You have up to 10 years following your release date to receive this funding. If you were released from the Canadian Armed Forces between April 1, 2006, and March 31, 2018, you have until April 1, 2028 to receive the funding.
Members of the Supplementary Reserve who were honourably released between April 1, 2018, and July 4, 2019, have 10 years from the date of release to receive funding. Members who were honourably released on July 5, 2019, have until July 5, 2029, and those who transferred in after July 5, 2019, have 10 years from the date of last transfer.

For applicants planning to enrol in our Mini-MBAs or Masters Certificate programs, we offer personalized payment plans with flexible installments.
Full tuition must be received by the end of the program, which is why we advise interested applicants to speak with an advisor as early as possible for more flexible payment plan options, as it may affect the number of installments required until the end of the program.
